  • Public Safety Costs are in line with current city revenue and the general fund is not out of control when compared to the top 25 largest cities in the country.

  • Out of the top 100 cities in the nation, San Antonio ranks 82nd and spends approximately 80% LESS per capita on it's Police Services.

  • The Pension and Health Care Funds are fiscally sound and well managed. This helps contribute to the city's AAA bond rating.

Hello everyone and welcome to our new website. The San Antonio Police Officers Association (SAPOA) has been in existence for over 60 years. Since my election as president in February 2008 I have tried to continue our organization’s long-standing traditions and presence among our membership and the community we serve.

Our organization’s primary responsibility is to protect and promote a brotherhood among our membership.
