Blue Cares is proud to announce that the San Antonio Police Officers’ Association Fourth Annual Memorial Festival and Open Car Show was a huge success. Hundreds of people showed up at the SAPD Academy grounds on Saturday, March 7.
This event is put on by SAPOA and Blue Cares to express gratitude and love to the families and friends of fallen officers and to let them know that their loved ones are heroes and will never be forgotten.
“We put this event together because we want to create a fun-filled atmosphere for the families of the survivors,” said Officer Yvonne Padilla. “At the same time, we use the proceeds from this event for those families when they travel to Washington and the name of their loved one is placed on the Memorial Wall.”
There were fun activities for all ages, from games for the kids to over 150 car show entries. And of course, plenty of fabulous festival food!
We thank everyone who attended and if you missed it, join us next year! It’s a great way to support the families of fallen officers and to let them know their loved one mattered to our community.
